Career

Reda Taliani's first album entitled ''Ache Dani Elwahd Tayra'' was released in 2000 with producer Issame and Eleulma Phone. He stayed with the label until 2004 when he moved to Dounia Production label where he released his successful album ''Joséphine'' the same year. Since then he has found popularity and success mainly in Algeria with ''Les Algériens des Kamikazes'' and ''Khobz Dar''. His music is widely influenced by Cheb Khaled and Sahraoui styles, but also by Bob Marley and Santana.

He has collaborated with many French artists, most notably the rap formation 113 on their album 113 Degrés. The single emanating from the collaboration entitled "Partir loin" was very successful. He was featured in ''Raï N B Fever 2'' with the song "Cholé Cholé" with Rappeurs d'Instinct. He also sang "Ca passe où ça casse" with French rapper of Tunisian origin Tunisiano. In 2011, he collaborated with Grand Corps Malade on the track "Inch'allah"

Anna Magdalena Bach (née Wilcke or Wilcken) (22 September 1701 – 22 February 1760) was an accomplished singer and the second wife of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Biography

Johann married Anna on December 3, 1721, 17 months after the death of his first wife, Maria Barbara Bach. Together they raised the children from Johann's first marriage and had 13 children of their own from 1723 to 1742, 7 of whom died at a young age:

Anna Magdalena continued to sing professionally after her marriage for example she sang at Prince Leopold's funeral in 1729. The Bachs shared interest in music contributed to their happy marriage. She regularly worked as a copyist, transcribing her husband's music. He wrote a number of compositions dedicated to her, most notably the two ''Notenbüchlein für Anna Magdalena Bach.'' During the Bach family's time in Leipzig Anna Magdalena organized regular musical evenings featuring the whole family playing and singing together with visiting friends. The Bach house became a musical centrum in Leipzig.

After Bach's death in 1750, his sons came into conflict and moved on in separate directions, leaving Anna Magdalena alone with her two youngest daughters and her stepdaughter from Bach's first marriage. While they remained loyal to her, nobody else in the family helped economically. Anna Magdalena became increasingly dependent upon charity and handouts from the city council; when she died on February 27, 1760, she was buried in an unmarked pauper's grave at Leipzig's Johanniskirche (St. John's Church). The church was destroyed by Allied bombing during World War II.

A possible composer

Recently, it has been suggested that Anna Magdalena Bach composed several musical pieces bearing her husband's name. Associate Professor Martin Jarvis of the School of Music at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia, claims that she composed the famed six cello suites (BWV 1007–1012) and was involved with the composition of the aria from the ''Goldberg Variations'' (BWV 988), a claim which is dismissed more recently by Yo Tomita.

Biographical sources

Her fictive autobiography "The Little Chronicle of Anna Magdalena Bach" was written in 1925 by the English author Esther Meynell. This sentimental narration of the family life of Bach is not based on any sources and is probably far from the personality of Anna Magdalena Bach.

A compilation of material about Anna Magdalena Bach has been published by Maria Hübner in 2005, "Anna Magdalena Bach. Ein Leben in Dokumenten und Bildern", completed by a biographical Essay of Hans-Joachim Schulze.

Biography

In addition to his career with Lonestar, McDonald sang background vocals on Mindy McCready's 1997 single "Maybe He'll Notice Her Now," which reached #18 on the ''Billboard'' country charts. He has also co-written singles for other country music artists, including "She's Always Right" by Clay Walker, "Jimmy's Got a Girlfriend" by The Wilkinsons, "Let Them Be Little" by Billy Dean (which Lonestar itself also recorded), "Coalmine" by Sara Evans, and "Once a Woman Gets a Hold of Your Heart" by Heartland.

McDonald announced his departure from Lonestar in 2007, with Cody Collins succeeding him as the group's lead vocalist. On November 8, 2007, McDonald released an album of Christmas music, titled ''If Every Day Could Be Christmas''. One of the songs on this album, "Coming Home for Christmas" (a collaboration with Jim Brickman) reached #4 on the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks charts at the end of the year.

McDonald released his solo debut album ''I Turn to You'' on June 3, 2008. He signed a deal with Stroudavarious Records a month later. His first single for the label, "How Do I Just Stop", was released in November, but did not chart until the week of January 17, 2009, where it debuted at number 53 on the Hot Country Songs chart and peaked at 51. A second single, "Hey God", which was originally on his ''I Turn to You'' album and before that on Lonestar's 2006 album ''Mountains'', was released on March 3, 2009, but was withdrawn from country radio and replaced with "Six Foot Teddy Bear."

McDonald released ''Slowdown'', his second solo album, in 2010. This album included "How Do I Just Stop", which also peaked at number 51. In 2011, he reunited with Lonestar after Collins left.
